17 miles

We got up and headed back to the lodge for breakfast. Timberline has an excellent breakfast buffet. It was very fancy and there were 12 dirty and smelly hikers sitting right in the middle of the room.

We ate until we were stuffed. There was a section hiker sitting with us. He was an older guy named Noodles. He had hiked last year and had to skip a couple sections so he was back this year to complete the trail. This was his last section and was about 48 miles finishing. He picked up the tab for everyone's breakfast.

We hung out on the lodge for a few hours and then headed out in Tue afternoon. We only have 48 miles left in Oregon so we could hike 2 "easy" days into Cascade Locks.

We talked to 3 ladies on trail who were really excited to meet some thru hikers. We talked about the trail for a while.

We took an alternate route to see Ramona Falls. It was a huge cascading falls and it was worth the side trip.

We are camping with Hot Shot who is from Etna.
