Good day! We made it to the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood.
So Minor and I have started making coffee every morning. This is because we have been trying to wake up a bit earlier and finish hiking every day around 7:45-8:00pm. So now we wake up early a one of us makes coffee for both of us. I have made any hot drinks this entire trip. It is actually really nice. I'm enjoying it.
When we got to highway 26 there was a couple doing trail magic. They had snacks and drinks. Apparently they have been doing trail magic at all of the major road crossings all summer. This means Minor and I are officially in the middle of the pack of thru hikers. There was also a register here and it confirmed that there are a ton of hikers within a day of us.
At the road we met Virgo, Sprinkles, Noodles, and Hamburger. Virgo is actually making a documentary about trail angels on the PCT so he was filming us when we showed up.
From there is was 10 miles to timberline lodge. The last 2 miles were very steep up very deep sand. It was pretty brutal.
I passed 3 hikers today that I met in SoCal early in the trip.
We got to the lodge and got dinner and some drinks with Virgo and Sprinkles.
