17 miles
We woke up and headed back to the store for a couple more snacks. There is a ski resort 2 miles down the PCT that everyone was planning to go to for pizza.
We hiked the 2 miles back to the PCT. Then 2 miles to the resort. There was a downhill mountain bike race that was going on that day. I really wanted to ride, but instead Minor and I split an extra large pizza. So it was a good compromise.
After the pizza it was about noon so we decided that we better get moving. The trail the rest of the day was nicely wooded and we passed a lot of lakes.
So much of Oregon has markers high on the trees for Nordic skiers in the winter. It would be a lot of fun to cross country ski here.
We found a nice spot to camp on Charlton Lake. There is a road nearby so there are a lot of car campers.
We are camping with a couple from England, Blackbeard and Destroyer. Also, a solo hiker named Scout.
This may be one of the nicest camp spots I've been at. We have a campfire and we're right on the water.
