The Red Moose was awesome. Probably my favorite place on trail so far.
The hike out of Sierra City was a huge climb. The trail surface was very rocky which made the climb even more difficult.
In about 10 miles I met up with a hiker named Cornucopia. We hiked together the rest of the day. He is doing a section hike from Kennedy Meadows south and going as far as he can north.
