29.5 miles

We got a little late of a start at 7:30am.

The terrain was definitely easier than it has been in the last 300 miles. The slope was gentle on the climbs and the trail was less rocky.

We had our last view of mt Shasta. Which is good, because we have seen that mountain for the last 350 miles!

Around 3 we reached a road which led to the Hyatt Lake Resort. Se weren't planning on stopping there, but the guidebook said that hikers got free ice cream there. So of course we had to go! We also split a pizza.

Another hiker named IPod was there. We hiked out with him and he is camped with us tonight.

  1. That's how they get you.
Lure you in with their free ice cream. Once you're there, exhausted, and tired of camping out... one upsold room for a weary hiker pays for a years worth of PCTIC. Careful out there.
