After we packed up, we headed to the road to hitchhike back to the trailhead. We stuck out our thumbs for maybe 3 cars when the same couple who picked us up yesterday came driving down the road. They stopped and picked us up again! What are the odds that they would be driving down that road at the exact same time. Their names were Bob and Alice and they were very nice. We were very grateful to be able to get a ride to and from the trail. Thank you if you are reading!

We started down the trail and after a couple miles we came to a series of awesome waterfalls. Glacier has so many falls. They are all awesome.

After the falls, the hike got pretty boring and annoying. It went 10 miles along St. Mary lake. But it is obviously not a popular trail because it was super overgrown. My legs are raw from rubbing against plants the entire way. It was so dense that you could hardly see the trail or even your own feet!

Andy stepped in a fresh pile of bear poop he couldn't see, slid, and almost fell on top of it.

We then entered a large burn area. It was pretty hot. We got to our campspot along a lake which was only slightly burned. There are a few live trees in the middle of the whole burn area.

We talked about going swimming. But just putting our feet in for a few seconds made them numb. So we decided not to...

We added up our total mileage so far and we are just under 60 miles in.
