We woke up at the campground we were staying at and packed up. For some reason, the post office in town was only open from 8:45-9:00am on Saturdays. Which wouldn't be that bad but the breakfast place opened at 8am and the post office was a mile away from there.
We sat down right at 8. By the time we got our food it was 8:20. So we scarfed down our food and started walking around 8:35. 20 minutes later we made it to the post office with 5 minutes to spare. Annoying, but we got what we wanted done.
We opened our boxes right outside the post office and organized our food. When we were about done and ready to head to the highway to hitch a ride back, a man asked us if we wanted a ride back to the trail. Yes!
We were about 20 miles from Colorado, and we couldn't wait to get there.
We had a few good views to the south into Colorado and could see mountains as far as we could see.
We made it to the border around 7 and celebrated.
