It had rained overnight. When we started hiking, we caught a glimpse of some of the high peaks, they were covered with snow!
We passed through an area where the 10th Mountain Division trained during World War II. There was a big memorial when we passed the highway. There were signs about finding old bombs and ammunition out in the woods.
The weather was cold and windy all day. We were glad to finally get to camp and have a campfire.
