Today we hiked all day with Hiker Box and Heartbreaker. They are a nice and very funny couple.

Early in the morning we crossed through an abandoned small town called Leadville. It was just a few cabins scattered around with some old mines.

We took a couple alternates that had more water so we didn't have to carry water for 10+ miles.

We got to a campground around 23 miles in. There was only one person in the camp and we started talking to him. Through talking, we found out that he was the husband and father of Mama Bear and Monkey. Mamma Bear and Monkey are a mother a daughter who hiked the PCT in 2012 (same year I did).  Monkey was only 8 at the time and was the youngest girl to hike the PCT. I met them in Washington and hiked with them for a little bit.

Anyways, he was waiting for them to get to the campground. They have been section hiking the CDT. They did Colorado and Wyoming last summer, doing Montana this summer, and will do New Mexico next year to finish the CDT.

When they got to camp, we talked with them for a while. They remembered me from the PCT.

About when we were going to sleep, Crosby strolled in to camp. He had taken a wrong turn yesterday. But actually wasn't too far behind us today or yesterday.
