After breakfast at the hotel. Heather and I asked the front desk if the hotel shuttle could take us back to the trail. They said they could take us part way, but weren't allowed out of the city limits. Even though the trail was only 6 miles from the hotel. Lame.
The shuttle dropped us off near the highway on ramp so we could hitch from there. It was at least better than trying from in town. We made a couple signs and after about 30-45 minutes a mountain biker stopped and took us to the trail.
Despite the trail going into Butte, today's trail was very nice.
There is a whole group of hikers around us right now. 8 of us. We all hung out in Butte at the festival and all made it back to trail around the same time. There are 3 couples: Andy and Leah, HikerBox and Heartbreaker, and Heather and I. Crosby and another guy named Memphis make up the 8. It has been fun hiking with them all.
