The section coming up is a very beautiful area called the Wind River mountains. It is very remote and much like the Sierras. We are pretty excited. We finished an early climb and got our first view of the Winds. It was pretty amazing. We looked the opposite direction and could see the Grand Tetons. Then we noticed a heard of antelope not too far away. They saw us and took off. I've never seen a heard of anything run that fast.
Most of the day was pretty mellow and the trail was fairly easy.
We made it to camp cooked dinner and had our fire. By the time we finished dinner a thunderstorm came over the hill towards us. We packed up and got in the tents. The thunder was loud but the storm passed quickly. It stopped raining and we went back outside to watch the thunderstorm move away. Some huge lightning flashed across the whole sky. Crazy.
